I purchased a brand new Maytag dishwasher in May of 1999, Model Number MDB6000AWW. we am right away carrying problems with possibly a H2O valve or a dial wash cycle controller. we can run a Rinse & Hold with no problems. Ten mins later, we can run a same cycle though a H2O valve will not open. When a washer is cold as well as In a Normal cycle, we will get a initial wash cycle, though afterwards a H2O valve will not open for a wash cycle (this is after a cylinder drains after a rinse).I am guessing which feverishness generated is causing an electrical hit problem, though we am not certain if it is a H2O valve contacts or is entrance from a dial controller itself. Has any one gifted this complaint as well as what did we find out was a solution? we hatred to reinstate both a valve as well as a controller if it is not necessary.

This is how you can test your water valve. Hope it helps.
You might want to look for a float switch that controls the amount of water. Sounds like it might be sticking. A utensil caught under it, a bit of food. It will look like a plastic bell, and you should be able to lift it. It will have a shaft that goes through the bottom and activates a switch that controls the water valve. It will be inside on the bottom.
