Also you can use some liq clorex clean up Just spray it directly on it and use a old tooth brush to try and scale away the buildup. :-) I use that for allot of stuff like this!!

Call the Maytag Man, he’s really a very lonely guy who would be thrilled that someone actually needed him for a change.

you can try putting a good quantity of white vinegar in the bottom of the dishwasher and running it thru a cycle. I’d say at least a quart. If your Maytag is like mine, I don’t think the top sprayer arm comes out easily! Might have to do this a couple of times to get it cleaned out and then on a regular basis to keep it from happening again.

Or you can try CLR. It’s a cleaner/remover that is available in grocery stores, WalMart and so forth. Follow the directions carefully! We’re talking chemical here. Even after you use the CLR; I’d run the vinegar thru it anyhow just to get the CLR out!

    I’ll suggest two things:

First it is probably only clipped in, check for clip tabs. If you find them, unclip it!

But first go to the store and buy some kind of calcium remover, such as CLR (I prefer The Works), and there is a new cleaner out just for dishwashers with this issue (it should be near the dishwasher fluids).

Run them through, 3 or 4 times if needed, to clean it. If you use CLR or The Works, try to squirt some into the arm

BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET IT IN YOUR FACE OR ON YOUR HANDS. Maybe put some in a large bowl with water, them life the bowl over the arm (I said LARGE) and hold it there for 2-3 minutes.
